About Us

Community First Responders are volunteers who live and/or work within local communities, trained by the Ambulance Service so that they can attend critically ill patients in advance of an emergency ambulance.

More commonly known as CFRs. On the 19th November 2024 West Midlands Ambulance Service confirmed that a scheme could be established within Burton on Trent.

The scheme is currently in the process of becoming established, we hope to be able to start responding to incidents during the early part of 2025. In addition our team members will be delivering bystander awareness training to the public so they can perform CPR and use an AED (Defibrillator) to potentially save a life.
